Watching Anime

Whenever I have some free time, I love to get comfortable at home and binge a show. That show is most likely a season (about 4 hours in length) of a new seasonal anime. I love how most seasons of anime are relatively short and watchable in a reasonable amount of time. Each episode is only about 20 minutes, making the committment to watch one episode significantly less.

Anime is Japanese animation and has recently gained massive popularity in the West. It's appeal comes from the infinite possibilities that animation provides as a medium and its relatively short nature in length compared to Western shows that drag and seem to have no end. Anime is also quite varied in nature and provides all types of genres within it, allowing people to really never get tired of what the new season can provide. In every season, there is at least one anime with rich story and character development, leaving viewers with somehting to think about after finishing a season.

Hiking

My parents and older brothers love to be active. Ever since I was young, whenever we would go on a family trip we would go on a hike. I used to dread these hikes when I was younger, but as we went on more and hiked through beautiful feats of nature, I began to appreciate hiking. It's like a reward when I see the beautiful landscape and view on top of mountains and through canyons.

My family don't only hike when we go on road trips, we also love to visit the local mountain Mount Baldy for weekly hikes. When it snows, the trail that we walk along is beautiful and shines in the sunlight. Even when we hike the same trail, the view seems to change everytime. I love to see the rivers and trees while we walk and catch each other up on our lives. Also, the meal we eat after coming back down from our hike is always the best.
